Video & Music
Three groups: watch, look up, and listen. The streaming group is mostly official platforms — confirm there is an official route before looking for a resource anywhere else, and the third-party entries kept here are for reference only, subject to each platform's copyright and membership terms. Bilibili and the CCTV library are notably better for documentaries, open courses and commentary; Netflix with Tencent, iQiyi and Youku covers series and new theatrical releases. The film databases are for deciding what to watch: Douban, IMDb and TMDB carry rating distributions, cast and crew, release and classification data that in-video blurbs rarely give you, and when choosing by score the gap between audience and critic ratings often says more than the average itself. The music group spans international and Chinese platforms, independent music and spoken word; playlists and favourites do not migrate between services, which is worth deciding before you switch. Ximalaya and Qingting FM are mostly audiobooks and podcasts, while Noisli and radio.garden work as background sound — cheaper in bandwidth and attention than leaving video running.
