İzmir Institute of Technology (Turkish: İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü, known as İYTE or IZTECH) is a public research institution in Urla, on the Aegean coast west of İzmir, Turkey, founded by law on 11 July 1992 as the country's institute of technology.伊兹密尔理工学院（土耳其语 İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü，简称 İYTE 或 IZTECH）是土耳其伊兹密尔以西爱琴海沿岸乌尔拉的一所公立研究机构，依 1992 年 7 月 11 日的法律创办，是土耳其的理工学院。

History

• Turkey created a new category of higher education institution in 1992, the higher technology institute, intended to concentrate research capacity and graduate training in a small number of specialised campuses rather than spread it across the university system.1992 年，土耳其设立了一类新的高等教育机构，即高等技术学院，目的是把科研能力与研究生培养集中在少数专门化校区，而不是分散在整个大学体系之中。
