Óbuda University

Óbuda University (Hungarian: Óbudai Egyetem) is a public technical university in Budapest, Hungary, whose modern institution inherits both the medieval University of Óbuda, chartered in 1395, and a tradition of Hungarian technical higher education that reaches back to 1879.欧布达大学（匈牙利语：Óbudai Egyetem）是匈牙利布达佩斯的一所公立理工类大学，其现代建制既承接了1395年获特许设立的中世纪欧布达大学，也延续了可追溯至1879年的匈牙利技术高等教育传统。

The present university was established on 1 January 2000 as Budapest Tech through the merger of three Budapest technical colleges, and it was promoted to university status on 1 January 2010, when it took the name Óbuda University.如今的欧布达大学于2000年1月1日由布达佩斯三所技术学院合并为布达佩斯理工学院，并于2010年1月1日升格为大学，同时启用欧布达大学之名。

History

• The institution's medieval namesake, the University of Óbuda, was chartered by Pope Boniface IX on 6 October 1395 at the request of King Sigismund, making it the second university in the Kingdom of Hungary and the first in what is today Budapest.该校的中世纪同名源头——欧布达大学，于1395年10月6日应西吉斯蒙德国王之请、由教宗博尼法斯九世颁授特许状设立，是匈牙利王国的第二所大学，也是今日布达佩斯境内的第一所大学。
