Yeungnam University (Korean: 영남대학교) is a private research university located in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang, South Korea, placed in the 791-800 band of the 2027 QS World University Rankings.嶭南大学（韩语「영남대학교」）是位于韩国庆尚北道庆山市的私立研究型大学，在 2027 年 QS 世界大学排名中处于 791-800 区间。

It was established in 1967 through the merger of Taegu College, founded in 1947, and Chunggu College, founded in 1950, under President Park Chung Hee, and its new main campus opened in Gyeongsan in 1972.该校于 1967 年由朴正熙总统主持合并 1947 年创办的大邱学院与 1950 年创办的忠仇学院而成，1972 年庆山新主校区启用。

History

• Yeungnam University was established in 1967 through the merger of Daegu College, founded in 1947, and Chunggu College, founded in 1950, both originally located in Daegu.嶭南大学于 1967 年由 1947 年创办的大邱学院与 1950 年创办的忠仇学院合并而成，两校原址均在大邱。

• Lee Dong-nyoung was inaugurated as the first chairperson of the board of trustees, and that same year the Ministry of Education approved the university to begin with six colleges.李东宁出任首任理事会理事长，同年教育部批准该校以六个学院开办。
