Yanshan University

Yanshan University is a provincial public university in Qinhuangdao, Hebei, on the coast of northeastern China, and it traces its origin to the Harbin Sino-Russian Industrial School founded in 1920, the predecessor of the Harbin Institute of Technology.燕山大学是位于河北省秦皇岛市的省属公立大学，地处中国东北部沿海，其历史可溯源至 1920 年创办的哈尔滨中俄工业学校，即哈尔滨工业大学的前身。

Its direct ancestor was the Department of Heavy Machinery of the Harbin Institute of Technology, which moved as a whole to Fulaerji in Qiqihar in 1958 and became an independent institute in 1960 before relocating to Qinhuangdao and taking the name Yanshan University in 1997.其直接前身是哈尔滨工业大学重型机械系，该系 1958 年成建制迁至齐齐哈尔富拉尔基，1960 年独立办学，此后迁至秦皇岛，并于 1997 年定名燕山大学。

History

• The university's origin is the Harbin Sino-Russian Industrial School, founded in 1920 and renamed Harbin Institute of Technology in 1938 after a series of changes of name.学校源头为 1920 年创办的哈尔滨中俄工业学校，该校历经多次更名，于 1938 年定名哈尔滨工业大学。
