World Psychiatry

World Psychiatry is the official journal of the World Psychiatric Association. Scope

• Scope: the journal aims to disseminate information on truly significant clinical, service and research developments in the mental health field, using a language that can be assimilated by the vast majority of mental health professionals worldwide.学科定位： 刊物旨在以全球多数精神健康专业人士都能理解的语言，传播精神健康领域真正重要的临床、服务与研究进展。

History

• Founded: the first issue appeared in February 2002, founded and long edited by the psychiatrist Mario Maj, then the association's secretary for publications.创刊： 2002 年 2 月创刊，由时任协会出版事务秘书的精神病学家 Mario Maj 创办并长期主编。
• Founding background: the association needed a journal of its own with global reach, a rationale set out in the founding issue by its first president, Juan José López-Ibor Jr.创办背景： 协会需要一份面向全球发行的自有期刊，首任主席 Juan José López-Ibor Jr 在创刊号社论中述其缘起。^[3]
