Scope
- Its opening statement treats climate change as one of the most visible phenomena of the present day, recognised through changes to physical climates, to natural and managed environments and to social organisations, and through deliberation about ethical responsibility and public policy该刊开篇即把气候变化视为当今最显著的现象之一——它既体现在物理气候、自然与受管环境以及社会组织的改变上,也体现在关于伦理责任与公共政策的辩论中。
- It offers a platform for exploring current and emerging knowledge from the many disciplines that contribute to understanding the phenomenon, which its description lists as environmental history, the humanities, the physical and life sciences, the social sciences, engineering and economics该刊为探索这些学科所提供的当前与新兴知识搭建平台,其自述所列学科包括环境史、人文学科、物理与生命科学、社会科学、工程学与经济学。
- It is positioned at once as an encyclopedic reference for climate change scholarship and research and as a forum for wider perspectives on how climate change is understood, analysed and contested around the world该刊兼具两种定位:既是气候变化学术与研究的百科式参考文献,又是一个让全球就气候变化如何被理解、被分析乃至被争论展开多元视角的论坛。
- Content is largely solicited review material, and the publishers note that under its founding editor the journal brought out more than 800 widely read and highly cited reviews, articles and commentaries该刊内容以编辑部约稿形成的综述为主,学会方面记述其在创刊主编任内产出八百余篇阅读广泛且引用极高的综述、论文与评论。
- Every article is assigned to the journal's own categorisation of climate change knowledge, whose top-level domains include the social status of climate change knowledge and climate, nature and ethics, with finer headings such as climate science and decision making每篇文章都按该刊自设的气候变化知识分类体系归类,其顶层领域含「气候变化知识的社会地位」与「气候、自然与伦理」,下设更细的条目如气候科学与决策。
- Submissions are handled through the publisher's online site, the journal carries no page or colour charges for commissioned contributors, and its editors are supported by domain editors, an international advisory board and the editorial board of the two partner societies来稿经出版方在线平台处理,受托撰稿作者无须支付版面费或彩图费,编辑团队由领域编辑、国际顾问委员会以及两合作学会的编辑委员会共同支撑。
