Weed Science

Weed Science is the journal of the Weed Science Society of America, brought out by Cambridge University Press, and it has carried this name since 1968, when the fifteenth volume of Weeds closed the earlier series. Its pages take in weed biology, herbicide resistance and the ecology of cropping systems, and the 2025 Journal Impact Factor is 2.4, 46th of 133 titles in agronomy.《杂草科学》是美国杂草学会（Weed Science Society of America）的会刊，由剑桥大学出版社出版，1968 年起使用现名，此前 15 卷以《Weeds》为名刊行。内容覆盖杂草生物学、除草剂抗性与耕作制度生态学，2025 年期刊影响因子为 2.4，在农艺学类目 133 种刊物中列第 46 位。

Scope

• The remit is original research and scholarship on every aspect of weed science in agricultural systems, and the instructions ask a paper to explain why a phenomenon occurs rather than only record that it does.收稿范围是农业系统中杂草科学各方面的原创研究与学术成果，投稿指南另加一条要求，论文须解释现象为何发生，不能只把结果记录下来。

• Weeds are studied in agricultural, forestry, aquatic, turf, recreational and rights-of-way settings, and the genetics of weed populations belongs to the same brief.杂草的考察范围包括农田、林地与水体，也覆盖草坪、休闲地和路权地带，杂草种群的遗传学列在同一份清单里。

• Herbicide resistance heads the chemical topics, together with the chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and molecular action of herbicides and of the plant growth regulators used against unwanted vegetation.除草剂抗性在化学类议题里排在首位，除草剂与植物生长调节剂的化学、生物化学、生理学与分子作用同列，这些物质用于清除不需要的植被。

History

• The first volume appeared in 1951 under the title Weeds, and volumes 1 to 15 ran under that name through 1967.第 1 卷于 1951 年以《Weeds》之名问世，第 1 至 15 卷沿用这个刊名直到 1967 年。

• Volume 16 opened in 1968 as Weed Science, and every volume since has kept the present title together with the numbering that came with it.第 16 卷自 1968 年起改称《杂草科学》，此后的每一卷都沿用现名，卷号也一并延续下来。

• The older title carried print ISSN 0096-719X and online ISSN 2326-1315, while the current one is registered as 0043-1745 in print and 1550-2759 online.旧刊名的印本 ISSN 为 0096-719X，网络版为 2326-1315，现行刊名的印本号为 0043-1745，网络版为 1550-2759。
