- From the outset the school taught on two levels, a higher course for estate managers and the sons of landowners and an elementary course for agricultural labourers, a structure that made it the first agricultural college in Poland and the fourth in Europe.
- Branches were opened at Bielany, Ruda, Wawrzyszew and Buraków, and a veterinary school was added at Buraków in 1824 to supply trained farriers and animal doctors to Mazovian estates.
- In 1840 the school was reorganised as the Institute of Rural Economy and Forestry, a name that reflected the addition of forestry to an agenda previously dominated by agronomy and animal husbandry.1840 年,学校改组为农村经济与林业研究所,这一名称反映出林业被纳入此前以农学与畜牧为主的办学范围。
