History

• In 1872 the Reconstruction-era Virginia General Assembly used federal Morrill Act funds to buy the facilities of the Preston and Olin Institute, a small Methodist school for boys in rural Montgomery County in southwest Virginia.1872 年，重建时期的弗吉尼亚州议会动用《莫里尔法案》的联邦资金，购得位于弗吉尼亚州西南部蒙哥马利县乡间的普雷斯顿—欧林学院（一所小型卫理公会男子学校）的校舍设施。
