UiT The Arctic University of Norway (Norwegian: Universitetet i Tromsø – Norges arktiske universitet) is a state university in Norway and the world's northernmost university, based in the city of Tromsø.特罗姆瑟大学——挪威北极大学（挪威语 Universitetet i Tromsø – Norges arktiske universitet）是挪威的一所国立大学，也是全球最北端的大学，校址设于特罗姆瑟市。

History

• Parliament voted to establish the University of Tromsø on 28 March 1968, ending a fifty-year campaign for a university in the north, and the institution opened its doors to students in 1972.1968 年 3 月 28 日，国会表决设立特罗姆瑟大学，结束了北方争取大学长达五十年的努力，学校于 1972 年开始招生。
