The University of Sfax (Arabic: جامعة صفاقس, French: Université de Sfax) is a public multidisciplinary university in Sfax, Tunisia, created by Law No. 86-80 of 9 August 1986 under the name University of the South.斯法克斯大学（阿拉伯语：جامعة صفاقس，法语：Université de Sfax）是突尼斯斯法克斯的一所公立综合性大学，依据 1986 年 8 月 9 日第 86-80 号法律以「南方大学」之名创建。

History

• Higher education in southern Tunisia began with the Faculty of Medicine of Sfax, created by Law No. 74-83 of 11 December 1974 as the first medical faculty outside Tunis, and it remains the oldest continuously operating higher-education institution in the region.突尼斯南部的高等教育始于斯法克斯医学院，该院依据 1974 年 12 月 11 日第 74-83 号法律创建，是首都突尼斯以外的第一所医学院，至今仍是该地区历史最悠久且持续办学的高等教育机构。
