University of Plymouth (UoP) is a public research university based mainly in Plymouth, England, with campuses and partner colleges across South West England, whose origins lie in the Plymouth School of Navigation of 1862.普利茅斯大学（简称 UoP）是英格兰普利茅斯的一所公立研究型大学，校区与合作院校遍布英格兰西南部，其办学渊源可追溯至1862年创办的普利茅斯航海学校。

History

• The institution began as the Plymouth School of Navigation, established in 1862 under the government's science and art regime to train seafarers and engineers for the port.该校最早是1862年依政府科学与艺术教育制度设立的普利茅斯航海学校，为港口培养航海人员与工程师。
