Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), literally the Northern University of Malaysia, is a public management university in Sintok in the Kubang Pasu District of Kedah, Malaysia, with a branch campus in Kuala Lumpur.马来西亚北方大学（Universiti Utara Malaysia，简称 UUM）是位于马来西亚吉打州古邦巴素县新笃的一所公立管理类大学，并在吉隆坡设有分校。

Established on 16 February 1984 under the Universiti Utara Malaysia Order as the country's sixth public university, it is dedicated to educating leaders and managers for business and public administration.该校依据《马来西亚北方大学法令》于 1984 年 2 月 16 日创建，是马来西亚第六所公立大学，以培养商务与公共管理领域的领导与管理人才为宗旨。

History

• Planning for the university began in August 1983, when the Ministry of Education drew up a proposal for a new institution, and on 19 October 1983 the Cabinet approved the project in Kedah.该校的筹建始于 1983 年 8 月——马来西亚教育部拟就新大学的方案；1983 年 10 月 19 日，内阁批准在吉打州实施该项目。

Campus

Student life
