Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), rendered in English as the University of Malaysia Sabah, is a public comprehensive university in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of the Malaysian state of Sabah, and was established on 24 November 1994 as the country's ninth public university.马来西亚沙巴大学（Universiti Malaysia Sabah，简称 UMS 或沙大）是马来西亚沙巴州首府亚庇的一所公立综合性大学，于 1994 年 11 月 24 日成立，为该国第九所公立大学。

History

• The university was created by the Universiti Malaysia Sabah (Incorporation) Order 1994 and the Universiti Malaysia Sabah (Campus) Order 1994, both gazetted on 30 October 1994 under the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 and brought into force on 24 November 1994.该校依据《1994 年马来西亚沙巴大学（注册）令》与《1994 年马来西亚沙巴大学（校园）令》设立，两项法令于 1994 年 10 月 30 日在《1971 年大专法令》下刊宪，并于 1994 年 11 月 24 日生效。
