Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), known in English as Yogyakarta State University, is a state university of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in Indonesia that dates its legal existence to 21 May 1964, when the Yogyakarta Institute of Teacher Training and Education (IKIP Yogyakarta) separated from Gadjah Mada University.日惹国立大学（Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta，简称 UNY，英文名 Yogyakarta State University）是印度尼西亚日惹特区的一所国立大学，其法定起点为 1964 年 5 月 21 日，当日日惹师范学院（IKIP Yogyakarta）脱离加查马达大学独立建校。

Presidential Decree No. 93/1999 converted the institute into a full university on 4 August 1999, and UNY now teaches across eleven faculties and a graduate school, with its main campus on Jalan Colombo in the Sleman Regency district of Caturtunggal.1999 年 8 月 4 日，第 93/1999 号总统令将该学院改制为综合性大学；如今学校设 11 个学院和 1 个研究生院，主校区位于斯莱曼县查图尔通加尔村科伦坡路。

History

• Teacher education in Yogyakarta received its legal foundation on 14 August 1950, when Government Regulation No. 37/1950 created a pedagogics section inside the Faculty of Letters, Pedagogics and Philosophy at Gadjah Mada University, the institution that had opened in the city a year earlier.日惹的师范教育于 1950 年 8 月 14 日获得法律基础：第 37/1950 号政府条例在加查马达大学的文学、教育学与哲学学院内设立教育学教研室，而加查马达大学本身一年前才在这座城市开办。
• A ministerial decree of 15 September 1955 (No. 53759) divided that faculty into letters, philosophy and education, and on 19 September 1955 A. Sigit was appointed dean of the new Faculty of Education, which taught a general section and a physical education section.1955 年 9 月 15 日的第 53759 号部长决定把该学院拆分为文学院、哲学院与教育学院；同年 9 月 19 日，A. • On 2 February 1962 the education faculty was split three ways into education, physical education, and teacher training and education (FKIP), and FKIP alone enrolled 1,469 students that year, a figure that shows how quickly demand for teachers was growing.1962 年 2 月 2 日，教育学院一分为三，分别成立教育学院、体育教育学院与师范与教育学院（FKIP），仅 FKIP 当年就有 1469 名学生，可见当时师资需求增长之快。
• Ministerial Decree No. 92 of 1962 then created a separate Surakarta Institute of Teacher Education (IPG) in the same region, so that two state teacher-training institutions competed for the same pool of students in central Java.1962 年第 92 号部长决定又在同一地区单独设立梭罗师范学院（IPG），于是中爪哇出现了两所争夺同一生源的国立师范机构。
• Presidential Decree No. 1/1963, signed on 3 January 1963, ordered FKIP Yogyakarta and IPG Surakarta merged, and the education faculty of Gadjah Mada was folded into the resulting institute, which took the name IKIP Yogyakarta.1963 年 1 月 3 日签署的第 1/1963 号总统令责令日惹 FKIP 与梭罗 IPG 合并，加查马达大学的教育学院一并并入，新机构定名日惹师范学院（IKIP Yogyakarta）。

• By September 1965 the institute ran five faculties, covering education, exact sciences teaching, language and arts teaching, social studies teaching, and engineering teaching, and it held classes in borrowed rooms at Gadjah Mada, in city schools and in buildings of the Yogyakarta Keraton.到 1965 年 9 月，学院已设 5 个学院，分别覆盖教育学、数理学科教学、语言与艺术教学、社会学科教学和工程教学；当时上课只能借用加查马达大学的教室、市内中小学的校舍以及日惹王宫的房屋。
• Its first rector was Ir. Widodo of Gadjah Mada's engineering faculty, who served from 1964 to 1965, and only in 1973 did a professor from the institute itself, Imam Barnadib of the Faculty of Education, take the post.首任校长是来自加查马达大学工学院的 Ir. • On 1 January 1971 the library became an independent unit reporting directly to the rector, after rectoral decree No. 19/1970 merged the faculty and departmental collections, a consolidation completed in 1974 with a purpose-built 1,004-square-metre building.1971 年 1 月 1 日，图书馆依第 19/1970 号校长令整合各院系藏书后成为直属于校长的独立单位；整合工作至 1974 年完成，并迁入一座 1004 平方米的专用馆舍。
• From 1972 the institute adopted the semester credit system and from 1973 it registered students twice a year, changes that let students accumulate credits at their own pace, and by 1996 the curriculum had grown to 37 study programmes.学院自 1972 年起实行学期学分制，1973 年起改为每年两次注册，使学生可按自己的进度累积学分；到 1996 年，全校专业数已增至 37 个。

• The change was argued on two grounds: the organisational structure of a teacher-training institute could not support broad scientific development, and a growing share of its graduates were taking jobs outside teaching.改制的理由有两条：师范学院的组织架构难以支撑宽口径的学术发展，而且越来越多的毕业生进入非教学岗位就业。
• Ministerial Regulation No. 23/2011, signed on 22 June 2011, split the Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics into a Faculty of Social Sciences and a Faculty of Economics, bringing the total to seven faculties.2011 年 6 月 22 日签署的第 23/2011 号部长条例把社会科学与经济学院拆分为社会科学学院和经济学院，学院总数增至 7 个。
• UNY first won an institutional A grade from BAN-PT in 2016 under certificate No. 3127/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/PT/XII/2016, and in 2022 it was upgraded to the top Unggul grade under certificate No. 144/SK/BAN-PT/AK-ISK/PT/IV/2022, valid until 12 April 2027.学校于 2016 年凭第 3127/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/PT/XII/2016 号证书首次获得国家高等教育认证委员会（BAN-PT）的 A 级机构认证，2022 年又依第 144/SK/BAN-PT/AK-ISK/PT/IV/2022 号证书升为最高等级的「Unggul」，有效期至 2027 年 4 月 12 日。
• Government Regulation No. 35/2022, issued on 20 October 2022, turned UNY from a public service state university into a fully autonomous legal-entity state university, giving it control over its own academic, financial and staffing decisions.2022 年 10 月 20 日颁布的第 35/2022 号政府条例使学校从公共服务类国立大学转为完全自主的法人国立大学，在学术、财务与人事上获得自主决定权。

• The Faculty of Engineering covers civil, electrical, mechanical, automotive and informatics engineering plus the vocational teaching degrees in building, electronics, machinery and culinary arts that supply Indonesia's vocational schools.工程学院开设土木、电气、机械、汽车与信息工程等专业，并开设建筑、电子、机械与烹饪等方向的职业师资学位，为印尼的职业学校输送教师。
• The Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences descends from the 1950 physical education section and teaches physical education, sports coaching and sports science, supported by the campus stadium, pool and martial-arts halls.体育与健康科学学院源自 1950 年的体育教育方向，开设体育教育、运动训练与运动科学专业，依托校内的体育场、游泳池与武术馆开展教学。

• The main campus, known as Karangmalang, stands at Jalan Colombo No. 1 in Caturtunggal, Depok, Sleman Regency, and covers 432,613 square metres, making it the administrative and teaching core of the university.主校区又称卡朗马朗校区，位于斯莱曼县德波克区查图尔通加尔村科伦坡路 1 号，占地 432613 平方米，是全校行政与教学的核心。

• Ir. Widodo, the first rector (1964-1965), came from the engineering faculty of Gadjah Mada and presided over the institute in the year it separated from the university that had raised it.首任校长 Ir. Widodo（1964 至 1965 年在任）来自加查马达大学工学院，在学院脱离母体大学的第一年主持校务。
