Tianjin Medical University

Tianjin Medical University is a public medical university at 22 Qixiangtai Road in Heping District, Tianjin, run by the municipality and co-funded by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, the National Health Commission and the Ministry of Education.天津医科大学是位于天津市和平区气象台路 22 号的公立医科大学，由天津市主管，并由天津市人民政府、国家卫生健康委员会与教育部共建。

Founded on 16 June 1951 as Tianjin Medical College, it merged with Tianjin Second Medical College in June 1994 to form the present university, entered Project 211 in 1999 and was named to the Double First-Class list in 2017.该校前身天津医学院于 1951 年 6 月 16 日成立，1994 年 6 月与天津第二医学院合并组建为今天的天津医科大学，1999 年进入「211 工程」，2017 年入选「双一流」建设高校。

History

• In December 1950 the professors Zhu Xianyi, Fang Xianzhi, Jin Xianzhai and Fan Quan drafted a proposal for a Tianjin medical school and submitted it to the city's mayor, Huang Jing.1950 年 12 月，朱宪彝、方先之、金显宅与范权等教授起草《筹建天津医学院说明书》，呈送时任天津市市长黄敬。
• On 6 March 1951 the State Council approved a preparatory committee chaired by Huang Songling, with Zhu Xianyi, Yang Shixian and Li Yunke as vice-chairmen.1951 年 3 月 6 日，中央人民政府政务院批准成立天津医学院筹备委员会，黄松龄任主任委员，朱宪彝、杨石先、李允恪任副主任委员。
