The Innovation

The Innovation is a transdisciplinary gold open-access journal published by Cell Press in partnership with the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that was launched in May 2020, publishing cutting-edge research and reviews across all scientific disciplines, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 39.5《创新》（The Innovation）是由 Cell Press 与中国科学院青年创新促进会成员合作出版的全学科金色开放获取期刊，2020 年 5 月创刊，刊载各科学领域的前沿研究与综述，2025 年期刊影响因子为 39.5。

Scope

• It is a transdisciplinary journal that publishes cutting-edge research and high-quality reviews across all scientific disciplines该刊为跨学科期刊，刊载各科学领域的前沿研究与高质量综述。
• Covered disciplines include physics, chemistry, materials, nanotechnology, biology, translational medicine, geoscience and engineering涵盖学科包括物理学、化学、材料学、纳米技术、生物学、转化医学、地球科学与工程学。
• It aims to spark innovation and promote interdisciplinary collaboration by providing a forum for research that tackles important emerging topics and many of the world's grand challenges旨在通过为研究提供论坛以激发创新、促进跨学科合作，应对重要新兴议题与全球重大挑战。^[1]
• Its mission is to see the unseen and change the unchanged, encouraging researchers to focus on the essence of science and free exploration其使命是「看见未见、改变未变」，鼓励研究者专注科学本质与自由探索。

History

• The Innovation was launched in May 2020 by young scientists together with Cell Press该刊于 2020 年 5 月由青年科学家与 Cell Press 共同创办。
• It is published by Cell Press in partnership with members of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association, a part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences该刊由 Cell Press 与（Youth Innovation Promotion Association, Chinese Academy of Sciences）的成员合作出版。
• Innovation Press was established as its publishing body, and one of the founders, Ke Chen, serves as its Director General该刊设立（Innovation Press）作为出版机构，创始人之一陈科任其总干事。
• Its editorial office is located in Haidian District, Beijing, China其编辑部设于中国北京市海淀区。
• It has been gold open access from launch, so all articles are freely available to read自创刊起即为金色开放获取，全部文章免费可读。

Editors

• The Executive Editor-in-Chief is Ke Chen, a medical doctor who graduated from Peking University and worked at the Beijing Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and is one of the journal's founders执行主编为陈科，毕业于北京大学医学专业，曾在中国科学院北京基因组研究所工作，是该刊创始人之一。
• Ke Chen was named an Excellent Member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2017 and was a visiting scholar at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2018 to 2019陈科 2017 年获中国科学院青年创新促进会「优秀会员」称号，并于 2018 至 2019 年在美国 MD Anderson Cancer Center 访学。
• The journal has a large international editorial board of about 200 members from more than 20 countries, covering all scientific disciplines该刊拥有约 200 位来自 20 余个国家的国际编委，覆盖各科学学科。
