Taibah University (Arabic: جامعة طيبة) is a public research university in Medina, Saudi Arabia, established in 2003 when the city's branches of two older universities were merged into an independent institution, and it is now the main public university of Al Madinah Province.泰巴大学（阿拉伯文：جامعة طيبة）是沙特阿拉伯麦地那的一所公立研究型大学，2003 年由两所旧大学在麦地那的分校合并为独立大学而成，如今是麦地那省主要的公立大学。

History

• Higher education in Medina began with the Islamic University of Madinah, founded in 1957, which remained the city's principal university for more than four decades, still specialises in Islamic studies, and remains the city's other main university alongside Taibah.麦地那的高等教育始于 1957 年创办的麦地那伊斯兰大学，这所大学在此后四十余年间一直是该市的主要高等学府，至今仍以伊斯兰研究见长，与泰巴并列为该市两所主要大学。
