History

• Founding and split: the journal was founded in 1967 by Pergamon Press, initially published quarterly. In 1977 it was split into five separately titled parts, Part A (Medical Psychology and Medical Sociology), Part B (Medical Anthropology), Part C (Medical Economics), Part D (Medical Geography), and Part E (Medical Psychology), each covering a distinct social science discipline of health.创刊与拆分： 该刊 1967 年由 Pergamon 出版社创刊，最初为季刊。1977 年拆分为五个独立分册，即 A 册（医学心理学与医学社会学）、B 册（医学人类学）、C 册（医学经济学）、D 册（医学地理学）与 E 册（医学心理学），各覆盖健康社会科学的一个不同学科。

Elliott, PhD, Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Management at the University of Waterloo, Canada, whose research focuses on medical geography, the social and environmental determinants of health, and geographies of health and wellbeing.
