Singapore Management University

Singapore Management University, often abbreviated SMU, is a public autonomous university in Singapore with a city campus in the Bras Basah and Bugis district, about 10,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and eight schools.新加坡管理大学，常缩写为 SMU，是新加坡的一所公立自治大学，校址位于勿拉士峇沙与武吉士一带的城市校园，约有 10,000 名本科生与研究生，设八个学院。

History

• In 1997 the Singapore government began to consider establishing a third university, and a task force chaired by the businessman Ho Kwon Ping was set up to study the idea.1997 年，新加坡政府开始考虑创办第三所大学，并成立由企业家何光平领导的工作小组来研究这一设想。

Academics

• Singapore Management University is organised into eight schools, namely the School of Accountancy, the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, the School of Economics, the School of Computing and Information Systems, the Yong Pung How School of Law, the School of Social Sciences, the College of Integrative Studies and the College of Graduate Research Studies.新加坡管理大学设八个学院，分别是会计学院、李光前商学院、经济学院、计算机与信息系统学院、杨邦孝法学院、社会科学学院、综合学科学院与研究生研究学院。
