The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, known by its Indonesian initials ITS, is a public research university in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia, with a strong emphasis on engineering, science and vocational education.泗水理工学院（印尼语简称 ITS）是一所位于印度尼西亚东爪哇省泗水市的公立研究型大学，尤其重视工程、科学与职业教育。

It was founded on 10 November 1957 as a small technical college whose charter was signed by Indonesia's first president, Sukarno, and its name recalls the Battle of Surabaya of 10 November 1945, commemorated each year as Heroes Day.学校于 1957 年 11 月 10 日以一所小型技术学院之身创立，创校宪章由印尼首任总统苏加诺签署，校名纪念 1945 年 11 月 10 日的泗水战役，该日每年被定为印尼英雄日。

History

• On 10 November 1957 the institute opened as the small Sepuluh Nopember Technical College with only two departments, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.1957 年 11 月 10 日，学院以规模很小的十一月理工学院之名开办，最初只设土木工程与机械工程两个系。

• Three years after opening, the college added departments of Electronic Engineering, Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding Engineering, and Chemical Engineering.开办三年后，学院增设电子工程、船舶与造船工程以及化学工程三个系。

Campus

• ITS takes its identity from the Spirit of Sepuluh Nopember, linked to the Battle of Surabaya of 10 November 1945, and its annual anniversary falls on 10 November.学院以“十一月十日精神”为精神标识，这一精神与 1945 年 11 月 10 日的泗水战役相连，其校庆日亦定在 11 月 10 日。
