Sejong University

Sejong University, known in Korean as Sejong Daehakgyo, is a private research university in Gunja-dong, Gwangjin District, in eastern Seoul, South Korea, founded in 1940 and best known for hospitality and tourism management, computer science and artificial intelligence, animation and dance.世宗大学，韩语名为（Sejong Daehakgyo），是位于韩国首尔东部广津区君子洞的一所私立研究型大学，创立于 1940 年，以酒店与旅游管理、计算机科学与人工智能、动画与舞蹈等学科闻名。

It began in May 1940 as the Kyung Sung Humanities Institute, founded by Dr. Choo Young-ha and Dr. Okja Choi, and after several changes of name and status it was renamed Sejong College in 1978 and became Sejong University in 1987, taking its name from Sejong the Great, the Joseon king who oversaw the creation of the Korean alphabet.该校于 1940 年 5 月以京城人文学院之名创办，创办人为朱英夏博士与崔玉子博士；历经多次更名与升格后，1978 年定名世宗学院，1987 年升格为世宗大学，校名取自主持创制朝鲜字母的朝鲜王朝君主世宗大王。

History

• The history of Sejong University began in May 1940, when the Kyung Sung Humanities Institute was founded by Dr. Choo Young-ha and Dr. Okja Choi in the Gwanghuidong area of Seoul.世宗大学的历史始于 1940 年 5 月，朱英夏博士与崔玉子博士在首尔光辉洞一带创办了京城人文学院。
