Scope

• It rapidly publishes high quality original research and review papers that cover all aspects of sediments and sedimentary rocks at all spatial and temporal scales快速刊载高质量原创研究与综述论文，覆盖所有时空尺度上沉积物与沉积岩的各个层面。

History

• It was founded in 1967 by Elsevier in Amsterdam, with volume 1, number 1 appearing in March 1967 under the subtitle An International Journal of Pure and Applied Sedimentology该刊 1967 年由 Elsevier 在阿姆斯特丹创办，第一卷第一期于 1967 年三月出版，副题为纯理论与应用沉积学的国际期刊。
