Scope

• The journal addresses innovative topics in gastroenterology and hepatology and publishes original articles as well as scholarly reviews, aiming at relevance to the daily practice of both specialties.期刊关注胃肠病学与肝病学的创新议题，发表原创文章与学术综述，力求对两个专科的日常实践具有参考价值。

History

• The journal was founded in 1918 by Ramon de Luis y Yague, Fidel Fernandez Martinez and Luis Urrutia y Guerezta as the Archivos Espanoles de Enfermedades del Aparato Digestivo y de la Nutricion, one of the oldest specialty journals in the world.该刊 1918 年由（Ramon de Luis y Yague）、（Fidel Fernandez Martinez）与（Luis Urrutia y Guerezta）创办，初名（Archivos Espanoles de Enfermedades del Aparato Digestivo y de la Nutricion），是世界上最古老的专科期刊之一。
