Scope

• The journal provides a forum for reviews, critical evaluations and theoretical treatments of selective topics in the neurosciences本刊为神经科学精选主题的综述、批判性评估与理论探讨提供论坛。

History

• Reviews in the Neurosciences was first published on 1 April 1987 and was originally issued by Freund Publishing House of Tel Aviv《神经科学评论》于 1987 年 4 月 1 日创刊，最初由特拉维夫的（Freund Publishing House）发行。^[1]
• De Gruyter acquired the journal and took over publishing with the first issue of 2011, maintaining the bimonthly frequency and adding an online submission and tracking system（De Gruyter）收购该刊并自 2011 年首期起接管出版，保持双月刊频率并引入在线投稿与追踪系统。
• The publisher also digitised the complete back archive and moved the journal to the Reference Global hosting platform出版方还将全部过刊数字化，并把期刊迁至（Reference Global）托管平台。
• Publication frequency was later raised from bimonthly to eight issues per year出版频率其后由双月刊提高至每年八期。
• From 2026 the journal converts to full open access under the Subscribe to Open model, with all articles under a CC BY licence and no charges to authors自 2026 年起，期刊按订阅转开放（Subscribe to Open）模式转为完全开放获取，全部文章采用（CC BY）许可且不向作者收费。
• The 2025 Journal Impact Factor is 4.8, against 4.1 in 2024, 4.703 in 2022 and 4.353 in 2021, while the five-year impact factor stands at 4.42025 年影响因子为 4.8，2024 年为 4.1，2022 年为 4.703，2021 年为 4.353，五年影响因子为 4.4。
