History

• The present title dates from 1989, when volume 83, number 1 appeared and the volume numbering continued from the predecessor journal现刊名自 1989 年启用，该年第 83 卷第 1 期出版，卷号延续自其前身刊。^[2]
• Its predecessor chain runs from The British Journal of Tuberculosis, published from 1907 to 1942, through The British Journal of Tuberculosis and Diseases of the Chest from 1943 to 1958, to British Journal of Diseases of the Chest from 1959 to 1988其前身链自 1907 至 1942 年的（The British Journal of Tuberculosis）起，经 1943 至 1958 年的（The British Journal of Tuberculosis and Diseases of the Chest），至 1959 至 1988 年的（British Journal of Diseases of the Chest），此后由现刊名接续。
