Radiation Oncology Journal

Radiation Oncology Journal is the quarterly of the Korean Society for Radiation Oncology, issued from Seoul under a non-commercial open licence, and its 2025 Journal Impact Factor is 2.4.《放射肿瘤学杂志》是韩国放射肿瘤学会的季刊，在首尔编辑出版，以非商业开放许可发布，2025 年期刊影响因子 2.4。

Volume 29 opened in 2011, when the journal moved into English, and the numbering has run on without a break from the 1983 launch, so volume 44 covers 2026.第 29 卷自 2011 年起，当年刊物改用英文出版，卷号从 1983 年创刊起没有中断，第 44 卷对应 2026 年。

Scope

• Clinical radiotherapy stands at the centre of the published scope, taking in treatment planning, dose delivery and the follow-up of patients treated with external beams or brachytherapy.临床放射治疗在收稿范围里占中心位置，治疗计划、剂量投照与接受外照射或近距离治疗患者的随访都算在内。

• Combined modality therapy gets its own room, with chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy sequenced in papers that report survival and toxicity for the whole course rather than one modality alone.综合治疗单列一栏，化疗、手术与放疗如何排序都在讨论之列，论文报的是整段疗程的生存与毒性，不只讲一种手段。

• Radiation biology appears as a laboratory subject, covering DNA damage and repair, cell survival curves, hypoxia and the radiobiological reasoning behind fractionation schedules used in the clinic.放射生物学是实验室那一侧，DNA 损伤修复与细胞存活曲线在内，乏氧条件下的细胞反应以及分次方案背后的依据也归此栏。

• Cancer biology sits beside it, so work on tumour microenvironment, molecular markers and the pathways that decide radiosensitivity can be published without being tied to a trial of its own.肿瘤生物学与之并列，肿瘤微环境、分子标志物，以及决定放射敏感性的通路，都能在不挂靠临床试验的前提下发表。

• Radiation physics covers dosimetry, beam modelling and quality assurance, including the measurements that have to be made before a new machine or a new treatment technique reaches patients.放射物理涵盖剂量学、束流建模与质量保证，新机器或新技术在用到患者身上之前要做的那批测量也在其中。

• Radiation informatics is named in the scope as well, which brings treatment planning systems, record-and-verify data and the statistical handling of large clinical datasets into the journal.放射信息学同样写进了范围，治疗计划系统、记录与验证数据，以及大样本临床数据的统计处理都在其列。

• New technology is welcomed too, with particle therapy named among the areas the journal wants to cover as proton and carbon facilities come into service in Korea and elsewhere.新技术是明确欢迎的，粒子治疗被点名，韩国及其他地方质子与碳离子装置陆续投用时，相关稿件有处可投。

• Health policy relevant to radiation oncology is part of the remit, which puts reimbursement, workforce planning and access to radiotherapy within reach of authors who write about services rather than cells.与放射肿瘤学相关的卫生政策也在职责之内，报销、人力配置与放疗可及性，写服务而不写细胞的作者同样有位置。

• The stated aim is to advance the field through scientific review and the exchange of results, and review articles are treated as a contribution in their own right rather than filler.办刊宗旨写明以学术评议与成果交流推动学科，综述被当作独立的一类贡献，不用来填版面。

• Any physician or researcher in the world may submit, and the board itself is drawn from Taiwan, the United States, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Egypt, South Africa and the IAEA.世界任何地方的医生或研究者都可投稿，编委来自台湾和美国，也来自泰国与印度尼西亚，印度与埃及，南非以及国际原子能机构。

• Four issues appear each year, on the last day of March, June, September and December, and one volume closes per calendar year, with no separate supplement series running alongside.每年出四期，时间定在三月末与六月末，九月末与十二月末，一卷对应一个公历年，另外没有独立增刊并行。

• Accepted papers are listed ahead of print before they are assigned to an issue, so a reader can reach the accepted version ahead of the quarterly date.录用稿先以在线预出版形式挂出，之后才编入某一期，读者在季刊日期之前就能读到录用版本。

• Papers are free to read under the Creative Commons attribution non-commercial licence the journal applies to its content, so a teaching file can reuse a figure without a written request.论文按知识共享署名非商业许可免费阅读，教学材料里要用一张图，不必再写信申请。

• Coverage runs from the Emerging Sources Citation Index and PubMed to Scopus, Chemical Abstracts and KoreaMed, while the full text is deposited in PubMed Central as well.收录从新兴来源引文索引与 PubMed 起，经 Scopus 与化学文摘到 KoreaMed，全文另存于 PubMed Central。

History

• The journal began in 1983 as the official publication of the Korean Society of Therapeutic Radiology, which was the name the society carried before it took its present form.刊物 1983 年创刊，当时是韩国治疗放射线学会的机关刊，那个名字是学会改用现名之前的称呼。

• In 2000 the title became the official journal of the Korean Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, a change of sponsoring body that left the volume numbering untouched.2000 年成为韩国治疗放射线与肿瘤学会的机关刊，主办单位换了，卷号没有动。

• The bigger step came in 2011, when the journal was renamed Radiation Oncology Journal, switched to English and kept the numbering, which reached volume 29 in that year.更大的一步在 2011 年，刊物改名为《放射肿瘤学杂志》，改用英文出版并接着原来的卷号，那一年编到第 29 卷。

• PubMed indexing began with volume 29 number 3, the September 2011 issue, and every paper since then has appeared there, with the full text also kept in PubMed Central.PubMed 收录从第 29 卷第 3 期开始，即 2011 年 9 月号，此后每篇论文都列在其中，全文另存于 PubMed Central。

• The society now appears on the imprint as the Korean Society for Radiation Oncology, while the older name, Korean Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, is still what Crossref carries.学会后来以韩国放射肿瘤学会的名义出现在版权页上，而 Crossref 里记的仍是旧名韩国治疗放射线与肿瘤学会。

• Volumes in the last decade have carried between 32 and 41 papers, from 41 in volume 36 for 2018 down to 32 in volume 43 for 2025.近十年的卷都在 32 到 41 篇之间，2018 年第 36 卷 41 篇，2025 年第 43 卷 32 篇。

• In the 2025 release it sits third quartile in oncology, ranked 214 of 333 titles at the 35.9th percentile, and the edition it is measured in is the Emerging Sources Citation Index.2025 年版把它放在肿瘤学第三区，333 种刊里排 214，百分位 35.9，计量所在的新兴来源引文索引。

• The editorial office sits inside the proton therapy centre at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, and the postal address printed on the site points to that building.编辑部设在首尔三星医疗中心质子治疗中心内，网站上印的通信地址就是这栋楼。

• Papers carry DOIs under the prefix 10.3857, and the Crossref record makes each article citable as soon as it appears ahead of print on the journal site.论文的 DOI 前缀为 10.3857，Crossref 记录使每篇文章一经在线预出版即可被引用。

• The move to English in 2011 brought the journal to authors outside Korea, and the board now includes members from Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas working in radiation oncology.2011 年改英文把刊物带到韩国以外的作者面前，编委如今也来自亚洲和欧洲，以及非洲与美洲。

• The abbreviation Radiat Oncol J is what PubMed and the indexing services use, while the site itself keeps the acronym ROJ for navigation and for the editorial email addresses.索引服务用的是缩写 Radiat Oncol J，网站自己在导航和编辑邮箱上沿用首字母缩写 ROJ。

Editors

• Tae Hyun Kim of the National Cancer Center carries the publisher role, which in this journal sits above the editor-in-chief rather than beside the editorial board on the masthead.国立癌症中心的 Tae Hyun Kim 任出版人，版权页上这个位置排在主编之前。

• Dongryul Oh of Sungkyunkwan University is editor-in-chief, and Jin Hwa Choi of Chung-Ang University works as associate editor, a two-person desk for the handling of submissions before papers reach the board.成均馆大学的 Dongryul Oh 任主编，中央大学的 Jin Hwa Choi 任副主编，两人先经手投稿再分给编委。

• Thirty-four names make up the editorial board, and the spread is wide, with Taiwan supplying three, the United States three and Korea the largest national group by a wide margin.编委共 34 人，分布很宽，台湾三人，美国三人，韩国一国占最多。

• Joseph Tien-Seng Wee at the National Cancer Center Singapore and O Kyu Noh at Ajou sit alongside hospital-based members such as Won Park at Sungkyunkwan and Kyubo Kim in Bundang.新加坡国立癌症中心的 Joseph Tien-Seng Wee 与亚洲大学的 O Kyu Noh，和成均馆的 Won Park、盆唐的 Kyubo Kim 这些医院背景的编委并存。
