History

• The journal was founded in 1997 and first published by Stockton Press in Basingstoke该刊 1997 年创办，最初由（Stockton Press）在 Basingstoke 出版。
• It later passed to Nature Publishing Group, now part of Springer Nature此后转由（Nature Publishing Group）出版，现归属（Springer Nature）。
• It has been issued quarterly, with four issues a year, since 2001该刊为季刊，自 2001 年起每年出版四期。
• It is indexed in MEDLINE, EMBASE and Science Citation Index Expanded, and holds a 2025 impact factor of 6.9该刊被 MEDLINE、EMBASE 与 Science Citation Index Expanded 收录，2025 年影响因子为 6.9。

Editors

• The editor-in-chief is Cosimo de Nunzio of Sapienza University in Rome, who took over the journal in 2022现任主编为（Sapienza University）的 Cosimo de Nunzio，2022 年接任。
