Progress of Theoretical and Experimental Physics
Progress of Theoretical and Experimental Physics (commonly abbreviated as Prog. Theor. Exp. Phys.) is a fully open access monthly published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the Physical Society of Japan. Reorganised in 2013 out of Progress of Theoretical Physics with roots back to 1946, it carries a 2025 impact factor of 2.4.Progress of Theoretical and Experimental Physics（常用缩写 Prog. Theor. Exp. Scope

History
- Predecessor in 1946: Progress of Theoretical Physics was founded in July 1946 by Hideki Yukawa, the first Japanese Nobel laureate in physics.1946年前身创刊： 前身《理论物理学进展》由诺贝尔物理学奖首位日本得主汤川秀树于 1946 年 7 月创办。
- Reorganisation and renaming: the predecessor was published by its own editorial office through volume 128 number 6 in December 2012, after which publication passed to the Physical Society of Japan and the journal restarted under its present title in January 2013.改组更名： 《理论物理学进展》由其出版事务所发行至 2012 年 12 月第 128 卷第 6 期，出版事务移交日本物理学会，自 2013 年 1 月起以现名重新出发。
