Politecnico di Bari

Politecnico di Bari, known in English as the Polytechnic University of Bari and shortened to POLIBA, is a public polytechnic in Bari on the Adriatic coast, founded by national law in 1990 and organised into five departments.

It is the youngest and the only southern member of the three Italian polytechnics, beside Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino, and its degree programmes concentrate on engineering, architecture, design and information technology.

Its engineering teaching reaches back to the faculty begun at the University of Bari in the 1943-44 academic year, while its architecture faculty was founded in 1989, so the school's roots predate its own 1990 founding by decades.
