PLOS Climate

PLOS Climate is a fully open access journal published by the Public Library of Science, which began publishing articles in February 2022 and covers all areas of climate and weather research across the natural and social sciences, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 5.6.《PLOS 气候》（PLOS Climate）由（Public Library of Science）出版，是完全开放获取期刊，2022 年 2 月发表首批论文，覆盖自然科学与社会科学各领域的气候与天气研究，2025 年期刊影响因子为 5.6。

Scope

• The stated remit covers climatic patterns, processes, impacts and solutions, publishing transparent, rigorous and open research from diverse perspectives.刊物范围覆盖气候格局、过程、影响与解决方案，发表透明、严谨而开放的多元视角研究。
• It provides a venue for all areas of climate and weather research, with emphasis on collaborative, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary work that improves global and regional understanding.本刊为气候与天气研究各领域提供园地，侧重能提升全球与区域认知的协作型、跨学科与多学科工作。

History

• PLOS announced a cohort of five new journals in 2021 and PLOS Climate, the third of them ready for publication, published its first articles in February 2022.（PLOS）2021 年宣布新创五种期刊，（PLOS 气候）是其中第三种就绪者，2022 年 2 月发表首批论文。
• The launch editorial framed the journal as a new, inclusive home for open climate research, and the journal had already received more than 85 submissions at launch.创刊社论将本刊定位为开放气候研究的新兴包容园地，创刊之际已收到 85 篇以上投稿。
