Planta Medica

Planta Medica (commonly abbreviated as Planta Med.) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Georg Thieme Verlag, founded in 1953 in Stuttgart and issued about seventeen times a year. It concentrates on the chemistry, pharmacognosy and pharmacology of medicinal plants and natural products, and European pharmacy experience has met modern natural science method in its pages for a long time.《药用植物》(Planta Medica,常用缩写为 Planta Med.)

Scope

Planta Medica proceeds from the stance that every claim made for a medicinal plant must be carried through to an identified chemical entity, asking authors to complete the causal chain between traditional use and modern measurement instead of reporting screening activity alone. Its principal subject areas include:Planta Medica

Research articles and reviews predominate, joined by short communications and thematic clusters, and structures of new compounds must be supported by complete spectroscopic data稿件类型以研究论文与综述为主,另设短篇通讯与专题小辑;本刊要求新化合物的结构与波谱数据齐备,纯描述性而未作功能或机制取向的工作不予考虑。 purely descriptive work without a functional or mechanistic bearing is not considered.

History

Editors

An editor-in-chief directs the journal, with editorial board members divided by subject and referees drawn mainly from natural products chemistry and pharmacology. Manuscripts are submitted online, and those reporting new structures are asked to supply complete spectroscopic data. Neither the publisher nor the board publishes an acceptance rate or review duration for the title.
