Scope

• The mission of the journal is to publish research that advances all aspects of plant phenotyping, from the cell to the plant population level, through innovative combinations of sensor systems and data analytics该刊宗旨是刊载以传感器系统与数据分析的创新组合推进植物表型组学各层面的研究，覆盖从细胞到植物群体的各个尺度。
• It connects phenomics with other domains such as genomics, genetics, physiology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, statistics, mathematics and computer sciences该刊把表型组学与基因组学、遗传学、生理学、分子生物学、生物信息学、统计学、数学及计算机科学等领域连接起来。
• Data acquisition topics cover high-throughput measurement of cells, organs, individual plants and canopies, including root systems and aerial parts, under controlled or field conditions数据获取方面覆盖细胞、器官、单株与冠层的高通量测量，包括根系与地上部分，并适用于控制环境或田间条件。
• Technological advances in sensors, vehicles, robotics, calibration and metrology are within the scope, as are data management, information systems, ontologies and metadata传感器、运载平台、机器人、标定与计量等技术进展，以及数据管理、信息系统、本体与元数据均属收稿范围。
• Data interpretation, modelling and practical applications for crop cultivation, plant breeding, forestry, horticulture, ecology and other plant-related domains are covered as well数据解读、建模以及面向作物栽培、植物育种、林业、园艺、生态学等植物相关领域的实际应用同样涵盖在内。
• Article types include research articles, methods articles, dataset articles, software and hardware articles, reviews, perspectives, correspondence and editorials文章类型包括研究论文、方法论文、数据集论文、软件与硬件论文、综述、观点、通信与社论。
• Methods, dataset and software or hardware articles must share data and code as a condition for peer review, and statements that data are available on request are not accepted方法、数据集以及软件或硬件类论文须共享数据与代码方可进入评审，「数据可应要求提供」式的表述不被接受。

History

• The journal was launched in January 2019 as a Science Partner Journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, published in affiliation with Nanjing Agricultural University and its State Key Laboratory of Crop Genetics and Germplasm Enhancement该刊于 2019 年 1 月创刊，作为（American Association for the Advancement of Science）的科学合作期刊发行，出版上与（Nanjing Agricultural University）及其作物遗传与种质创新国家重点实验室合作。
• It was the second Science Partner Journal launched in the Asia-Pacific region and was planned from the outset as an open access title carrying original research, reviews, datasets and opinions in an interdisciplinary field该刊是亚太地区推出的第二份科学合作期刊，从创办之初即定位为开放获取期刊，刊载交叉学科领域的原创研究、综述、数据集与观点。
• From January 2025 the journal is no longer published with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and it is now published by Elsevier自 2025 年 1 月起，该刊不再与（American Association for the Advancement of Science）合作出版，现由（Elsevier）出版。
• Content is published open access under a Creative Commons attribution licence on a continuous basis, so articles become available as soon as production is complete该刊内容以知识共享署名许可、按连续出版方式开放获取发布，制作完成后即行上线。
• Articles published during the Science Partner Journal period carry the digital object identifier prefix 10.34133, shared with other partner journals科学合作期刊时期发表的论文使用数字对象标识符前缀（10.34133），与其他合作期刊一致。
• The impact factor rose from 6.961 in 2022 to 6.4 in 2024 and 8.2 in 2025, when the journal ranked second among 133 titles in agronomy and also placed in the first quartile of plant sciences and remote sensing影响因子由 2022 年的 6.961、2024 年的 6.4 升至 2025 年的 8.2，当年在农学类 133 种期刊中列第 2 位，并在植物科学与遥感两类同处第一四分位。

Editors

• The journal is led by four editors-in-chief, Seishi Ninomiya of the University of Tokyo, Frederic Baret of the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment, Yanfeng Ding and Zong-Ming Cheng of Nanjing Agricultural University该刊由四位主编共同主持：东京大学的 Seishi Ninomiya、（INRAE）的 Frederic Baret，以及（Nanjing Agricultural University）的 Yanfeng Ding 与 Zong-Ming Cheng。
