History

• It was established in 1970, when the large journal The Physical Review, founded in 1893, was divided into the topical journals Physical Review A to D该刊于 1970 年创刊，当时创于 1893 年的老刊 The Physical Review 因体量过大，按领域拆分为 Physical Review A 至 D 四刊。^[1]
• It absorbed the fields of atomic, molecular and optical physics, while Physical Review E was split off from it in January 1993该刊承接原子、分子与光学物理方向，而 Physical Review E 于 1993 年一月自其分出。
• It was originally titled Phys. Rev. A, meaning Physical Review A: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, with the ISSNs 1050-2947 and 1094-1622, and in January 2016 it adopted its present name and the new ISSNs 2469-9926 and 2469-9934其前身为 Phys.
