History

• Founding and merger: the lineage began in 1976, with early volumes split into three parts covering chemotherapy, toxicology and metabolic inhibitors, general and systematic pharmacology, and clinical pharmacology and therapeutics, all issued within the Oxford University Press orbit, before the three parts merged into the present journal in 1979, with continuous numbering from volume four onwards.创刊与合并： 1976 年刊系创刊，早期分化学治疗与代谢抑制、总论与系统药理学、临床药理学与治疗学三个分册，均由牛津大学出版社系出版；1979 年三分册合并为现刊并自第 4 卷起连续编号。^[2]
