Scope

• The journal covers the geology and geophysics of oil and gas reservoirs, including reservoir characterisation and formation mechanisms.本刊覆盖油气储层的地质学与地球物理学，包括储层表征与成藏机制。
• Petroleum engineering, including reservoir development and enhanced oil recovery, is a core area.石油工程，包括油藏开发与提高采收率，是核心领域。
• Drilling, completion and well engineering, including rock mechanics and wellbore stability, are published.钻井、完井与油气井工程，包括岩石力学与井壁稳定，均予发表。
• Petroleum geochemistry, source rock evaluation and hydrocarbon accumulation are covered.石油地球化学、烃源岩评价与油气成藏均有收录。
• Surface facilities, gathering, transportation and pipeline technology are within scope.地面工程、集输、运输与管道技术均在其范围之内。
• Reservoir simulation, data-driven modelling and machine learning for petroleum problems are treated at length.油藏数值模拟、数据驱动建模与面向石油问题的机器学习受到重点讨论。
• Emerging areas such as geothermal energy, carbon dioxide storage and hydrogen transport are also represented.地热能、二氧化碳封存与氢能储运等新兴领域亦有收录。

History

• The journal is published on an open access basis by KeAi, and its editorial office is at Southwest Petroleum University in Chengdu.本刊由（KeAi）以开放获取方式出版，编辑部设于成都的西南石油大学。
• Paitoon Tontiwachwuthikul of the University of Regina in Canada serves as honorary editor-in-chief.加拿大里贾纳大学的 Paitoon Tontiwachwuthikul 担任荣誉主编。
• Liehui Zhang of Southwest Petroleum University is the editor-in-chief, and Guangchuan Liang of the same university is executive editor-in-chief.主编为西南石油大学的 Liehui Zhang，执行主编为同校的 Guangchuan Liang。
