The stated aim is continuing education for practising pediatricians. The first volume under the present name is 49. That number carries the whole history, because the journal did not restart its count when it changed name in 2008.现名下第 1 卷就是第 49 卷。这个数字把整段来历都说完了，因为 2008 年改刊名时，卷号没有从头数。
The line begins with Acta Paediatrica Sinica, the journal of the same society. The library catalogue files it under its Chinese title, Zhonghua Minguo xiao er ke yi xue hui za zhi, with the ISSN 0001-6578.这条线从《Acta Paediatrica Sinica》起，也是同一家学会的刊物。图书馆目录按中文题名《中華民國小兒科醫學會雜誌》著录，ISSN 是 0001-6578。

A second journal merged in. Clinical neonatology came out in Hong Kong from Excerpta Medica Asia on behalf of a neonatal society, twice a year, and its Chinese name was Lin ch'uang hsin sheng erh i hsuueh tsa chih.还有一本并进来的刊物。《Clinical neonatology》在香港由 Excerpta Medica Asia 代一家新生儿医学会出版，一年两期，中文名是《臨床新生兒醫學雜誌》。

Editors
