Oral Oncology

Oral Oncology is a peer-reviewed clinical journal devoted to head and neck cancer, founded under its present title in 1997 and issued monthly by Elsevier. It is the joint journal of the International Association of Oral Pathologists, the European Association of Oral Medicine and the International Academy of Oral Oncology, covering oral cancer from causation to palliative care.《口腔肿瘤学》（Oral Oncology）是一份聚焦头颈部肿瘤的同行评审临床期刊，现刊名创刊于一九九七年，月刊发行，由爱思唯尔（Elsevier）出版。该刊是国际口腔病理学会、欧洲口腔医学学会与国际口腔肿瘤学会的共同机关刊，覆盖口腔癌从病因到姑息治疗的全链条。

Scope

Oral Oncology positions itself as an international interdisciplinary platform for head and neck cancer, organised by stage of disease rather than by anatomical site, with clinical research at its core. • Aetiology and pathogenesis: the natural history, pathology, mechanisms of metastasis and genetic and molecular alterations of oral cancer.病因与发生机制： 口腔癌的自然史、病理、转移机制与遗传分子改变。
• Epidemiology and prevention: epidemiology, risk factors, biomarkers, prevention and screening strategies.流行病学与预防： 流行病学、危险因素、生物标志物、预防与筛查策略。

The journal carries original research, clinical trials, reviews, editorials and commentary, with no pre-submission enquiry required. History

• Lineage begins (1965): the journal's lineage runs back to the European Journal of Cancer, founded in 1965, from which an oral oncology Part B was split off in July 1992, carrying over the parent journal's volume numbering.刊脉起点（一九六五年）： 本刊刊脉上溯至《欧洲癌杂志》（European Journal of Cancer，一九六五年创刊），一九九二年七月该刊析出 B 辑口腔肿瘤学分册，承接原刊卷号。^[2]
• Two renamings (1992/1997): titled the European Journal of Cancer Part B: Oral Oncology from 1992, it dropped the parent title in 1997 for the present name Oral Oncology, with volume numbering continuing from thirty-three.两度更名（一九九二年／一九九七年）： 一九九二年名为《欧洲癌杂志·B 辑·口腔肿瘤学》，一九九七年弃去母刊刊名启用现名 Oral Oncology，卷号自第三十三卷接续。^[3]

Editors

The journal operates under an editor-in-chief with two deputy editors, five associate editors and a large international editorial board of more than one hundred members, among the largest boards in the head and neck cancer field.
