npj Biodiversity

npj Biodiversity is a fully open access peer-reviewed journal in the Nature Portfolio npj series published by Springer Nature since 2022, covering biological diversity from genes through species to ecosystems, and it carries a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 10.7（npj Biodiversity）是（Springer Nature）旗下（npj）系列中的全开放获取同行评审期刊，2022 年创刊，覆盖从基因、物种到生态系统的生物多样性研究，2025 年影响因子为 10.7。

Scope

• The journal considers all aspects of biological diversity research and its official statement spans three levels of organisation, namely genetics, species and ecosystems该刊接受生物多样性研究的所有方面，官方表述覆盖遗传、物种与生态系统三个层次。
• Biodiversity conservation, management and control head the list of topics, alongside species diversity and taxonomy官方主题以生物多样性保护、管理与控制居首，并包含物种多样性与分类学。

• The first papers appeared on 17 November 2022 in volume one, and among the opening three was an essay named Building a truly diverse biodiversity science首批论文于 2022 年 11 月 17 日发表于第 1 卷，开卷三篇中有一篇题为（Building a truly diverse biodiversity science）的文章。
• Publication is continuous and online only, with one volume released each year, volume one in 2022 and volume five in 2026该刊为纯在线连续出版，每年出版 1 卷，2022 年为第 1 卷，2026 年为第 5 卷。

• Joaquin Hortal is the founding editor-in-chief and serves as research professor in the Department of Biogeography and Global Change at the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales in Madrid创刊主编为（Joaquin Hortal），任马德里（Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales）生物地理学与全球变化系研究教授。
