Nature Reviews Endocrinology (commonly abbreviated as Nat. Rev. Endocrinol.) is an endocrinology and metabolism review journal published by Springer Nature. It was founded in 2005 as Nature Clinical Practice Endocrinology & Metabolism, took its current title in April 2009, is issued monthly, and had an impact factor of 39.1 in 2025.Nature Reviews Endocrinology（常用缩写 Nat. - Commissioned model: Reviews and Perspectives are written by external authors invited or commissioned by the in-house editors. Authors may submit proposals for Review-type and Comment-type articles through the online submission system, and these are considered, but the great majority of published content is commissioned. History
- 2005: the journal was launched as Nature Clinical Practice Endocrinology & Metabolism, one of the Nature Clinical Practice clinical titles that Nature Publishing Group issued in 2004 and 2005 alongside titles covering cardiology, clinical oncology, gastroenterology and hepatology, nephrology, neurology, rheumatology and urology.2005年： 期刊以 Nature Clinical Practice Endocrinology & Metabolism 之名创刊，是自然出版集团在 2004 年与 2005 年推出的 Nature Clinical Practice 临床系列刊物之一，该系列同时覆盖心脏病学、临床肿瘤学、消化病学与肝病学、肾脏病学、神经病学、风湿病学与泌尿学。
- April 2009: the publisher rebranded eight clinical journals under the Nature Reviews name, taking the series from seven titles to fifteen, and this journal became Nature Reviews Endocrinology. - Chief Editor: the journal is led by Claire Greenhill, who joined the clinical Nature Reviews team as an Editorial Assistant in September 2009, became an Assistant Editor on Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology and on this journal in April 2010, was promoted to Associate Editor in January 2013 and to Senior Editor in September 2014, and became Chief Editor in February 2015.
