National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) is a public university in Zhongzheng District of Keelung, Taiwan, devoted to ocean science, maritime engineering, fisheries and marine affairs, and it descends from a provincial maritime college founded in 1953.国立台湾海洋大学（National Taiwan Ocean University，简称 NTOU）是位于台湾基隆市中正区的公立大学，以海洋科学、海事工程、渔业与海洋事务为特色，前身是 1953 年设立的省立海事专科学校。

Seven colleges teach maritime science and management, life sciences, ocean science and resource, engineering, electrical engineering and computer science, humanities and social sciences, and ocean law and policy, and a satellite campus opened on Beigan in the Matsu Islands in July 2019.该校设有海运暨管理学院、生命科学院、海洋科学与资源学院、工学院、电机资讯学院、人文社会科学院与海洋法律与政策学院七个学院，并于 2019 年 7 月在马祖北竿设立分校。

History

• The institution opened in 1953 as the Provincial Taiwan Maritime Technology College in Keelung, with departments of navigation, marine engineering and naval architecture created to supply officers for the island's coastal and ocean-going fleet.该校于 1953 年在基隆以台湾省立海事专科学校的名义成立，设航海、轮机与造船三科，为台湾的近海与远洋船队培养高级船员。
