Nanjing University of Science and Technology

The Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST) is a national key public university in the Xuanwu District of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the Jiangsu Provincial Government.南京理工大学（Nanjing University of Science and Technology，简称 NJUST）是位于江苏省南京市玄武区、直属于中华人民共和国工业和信息化部、并由教育部与江苏省人民政府共建的全国重点公立大学。

Its lineage reaches back to 1953, when the Department of Artillery Engineering of the People's Liberation Army Military Engineering Institute was created in Harbin, before the school moved to Nanjing in 1962 and took its present name in 1993.其渊源可上溯至 1953 年在哈尔滨创建的中国人民解放军军事工程学院炮兵工程系，此后学校于 1962 年南迁南京，并于 1993 年定名为南京理工大学。

History

• The university's history begins in 1953, when the Department of Artillery Engineering was set up within the People's Liberation Army Military Engineering Institute at Harbin under the Central Military Commission.该校的历史始于 1953 年，当时在中国人民解放军军事工程学院内设立了隶属中央军委的炮兵工程系。
