Nanjing Medical University

Nanjing Medical University is a provincial public medical university in Nanjing, Jiangsu, with its main campus in Jiangning District, a clinical campus on Wutai and a new campus in Changzhou.南京医科大学是位于江苏省南京市的一所省属公立医科大学，主校区在江宁区，另有五台临床校区与常州校区。

It began in 1934 as the Jiangsu Provincial Medical Administration College in Zhenjiang, moved to Nanjing and took the name Nanjing Medical College in 1957, and became Nanjing Medical University in 1993.该校 1934 年以江苏省立医政学院之名创办于镇江，1957 年迁至南京并更名南京医学院，1993 年改为现名南京医科大学。

History

• The institution was founded in 1934 as the Jiangsu Provincial Medical Administration College in Zhenjiang, with Chen Guofu, a senior Kuomintang figure, as its first president and Hu Ding'an as chief of education.该校 1934 年以江苏省立医政学院之名创办于镇江，由国民党要员陈果夫兼任首任院长，胡定安任教育长。
