Nanchang University is a provincial public university in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province, co-sponsored by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education and counted among China's Project 211 and Double First-Class universities.南昌大学是位于江西省会南昌的省属公立大学，由江西省人民政府与教育部共建，是「211 工程」和「双一流」建设高校。

Its lineage runs through the Jiangxi Public Medical School of 1921, National Chung-Cheng University of 1940 and the two institutions founded in 1958 that merged in 1993 to form the university.该校的源流包括 1921 年创办的江西公立医学专门学校、1940 年的国立中正大学，以及 1958 年创办、1993 年合并组建南昌大学的两所院校。

History

• The earliest strand of the university's history is the Jiangxi Public Medical School, founded in Nanchang in 1921 as the province's first public institution for Western medical training.校史最早的一支是 1921 年在南昌创办的江西公立医学专门学校，它是江西省第一所公立的西医教育机构。
