Scope

History

• The first issue appeared on 9 February 1827 as Monthly Notices of the Astronomical Society of London, and the journal has been published continuously ever since.首期于 1827 年 2 月 9 日以（Monthly Notices of the Astronomical Society of London）之名出版，此后从未中断。
• It took its present name from volume 2, after the society became the Royal Astronomical Society.学会成为英国皇家天文学会之后，期刊自第 2 卷起改用现名。
• The society published the journal in-house until 1965, when Blackwell took over, remaining publisher, later as Wiley-Blackwell, until 2012.1965 年之前期刊由学会自行出版，此后由（Blackwell）接手，其后作为（Wiley-Blackwell）一直出版到 2012 年。
