Molecular Cancer Research

Molecular Cancer Research is a peer-reviewed journal published by the American Association for Cancer Research, issued monthly. Founded in 2002 on the predecessor Cell Growth & Differentiation, established in 1990, it publishes original research at the molecular level of cancer.《分子癌症研究》(Molecular Cancer Research)是一份由美国癌症研究协会(American Association for Cancer Research,简称 AACR)出版的同行评审学术期刊,月刊。

Scope

The journal's editorial stance sets molecular mechanistic evidence as the threshold, requiring that a paper include mechanistic analysis at the molecular level together with functional validation in vivo or in vitro, rather than merely describing correlations with tumour phenotype. The journal also emphasises translational orientation, holding that molecular findings should point toward possible therapeutic intervention.

The journal is a hybrid title. The subscription route charges authors nothing, while open access carries an article processing charge. The publisher publishes neither an acceptance rate nor a review duration for this title, and the library's previous notes of relatively easy acceptance and a relatively slow four to eight weeks had no official basis and have been deleted. The journal is indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded.

History

Editors

The journal operates under a single editor-in-chief appointed by the American Association for Cancer Research, with a board comprising deputy editors, senior editors and an assistant editor, and manuscripts submitted through the society's unified submission system. The society publishes no editorial process detail beyond the journal's volume.
