Medicine Advances is a quarterly gold open access general medical journal launched in 2023 by Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital and Tsinghua University, published by Tsinghua University Press and distributed worldwide by Wiley, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 5.3《医学进展》由广东省人民医院与清华大学于 2023 年共同创办，是季度出版的金色开放获取综合医学期刊，由清华大学出版社出版、（Wiley）全球发行，2025 年影响因子为 5.3。

Scope

• The journal follows the whole disease lifecycle, from occurrence and progression through screening and early warning, diagnosis and classification, treatment and intervention, to outcome and prognosis期刊关注疾病全生命周期，从发生发展、筛查预警、诊断分型、治疗干预到转归预后。
• It promotes multidisciplinary integration, combining multi-omics and multimodal data in clinical diagnosis, treatment and medical research期刊推动多学科整合，在临床诊疗与医学研究中结合多组学与多模态数据。
• Precision medicine and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in health care are central themes精准医学以及人工智能与机器学习在医疗中的应用是核心主题。

History

• Medicine Advances was launched on 23 March 2023 in Guangzhou during Guangdong Medical Science Week《医学进展》于 2023 年 3 月 23 日在广州举行的广东省医学科技周上正式创刊。
• It is co-hosted by Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, which is also the Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences, and Tsinghua University期刊由广东省人民医院（广东省医学科学院）与清华大学共同主办。
• Tsinghua University Press publishes the title and Wiley distributes it globally, while the editorial office is run by the press期刊由清华大学出版社出版、（Wiley）负责全球发行，编辑部由出版社组建运营。
• The first volume appeared in 2023 with four issues, and the journal has remained quarterly since首卷于 2023 年出版，共 4 期，此后一直按季度出版。
• It is fully open access under CC BY, with an article processing charge of USD 2750 and no subscription model期刊采用（CC BY）许可完全开放获取，文章处理费为 2750 美元，不设订阅模式。

• The editor-in-chief is Xueqing Yu, president of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital and of the Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences and a nephrologist主编余学清是广东省人民医院院长、广东省医学科学院院长，肾脏病学专家。
• Co-editors-in-chief are Ye-Guang Chen of Tsinghua University, a cell biologist and Chinese Academy of Sciences academician, and Liming Liang of Harvard University共同主编为清华大学陈晔光院士，以及哈佛大学的（Liming Liang）。
• Associate editors announced at launch were Huiying Liang, Wenzhao Zhong and Ji-Feng Fei of Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences创刊时公布的副主编为广东省医学科学院的梁会营、钟文昭与费继锋。
• The editorial office is headed by Yu Sun, a vice president of Tsinghua University Press编辑部主任由清华大学出版社副总编孙宇担任。
