Medical and Veterinary Entomology

Medical and Veterinary Entomology is the quarterly of the Royal Entomological Society, brought out by Wiley, and it has carried one subject since 1987, the biology and control of insects, ticks, mites and other arthropods that matter to human and animal health.《医学与兽医昆虫学》是皇家昆虫学会的季刊，由 Wiley 出版，从 1987 年起只办一个题目，就是对人畜健康要紧的昆虫、蜱、螨与其它节肢动物的生物学与控制。

Scope

• The aims page states the remit plainly and then lists what the editors consider the journal's strengths. Epidemiology and the transmission of vector-borne pathogens come first, which puts field data and transmission cycles at the centre rather than at the margin.宗旨页先把范围写明，再列出编者自认的长处。头一条是流行病学与病媒病原体的传播，田间数据与传播循环因此立在正中，不放在边上。

• Changes in vector distribution rank second, the kind of work that tracks an arthropod into country it did not previously hold and asks what that means for pathogen transmission.第二条是媒介分布的变化，这类研究盯住一种节肢动物进入它原先不占的地方，再问这对病原传播意味着什么。

• Four submission types are open. History

• Volume 1, number 1 is dated January 1987. The library record gives Oxford and Boston as the places of publication, with the Royal Entomological Society of London as the body the journal was issued for and Blackwell Scientific Publications as the house that printed it.第 1 卷第 1 期署 1987 年 1 月。图书馆记录把出版地记为牛津与波士顿，刊物为伦敦的皇家昆虫学会而出，承印的是 Blackwell Scientific Publications。
