Marine Life Science & Technology

Marine Life Science & Technology is a bimonthly peer-reviewed journal published by Springer Nature for Ocean University of China and the Laoshan Laboratory, launched in November 2019 and devoted to marine and aquatic life sciences and their technologies, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 5.7.《海洋生命科学与技术》（Marine Life Science & Technology）由（Springer Nature）代表中国海洋大学与崂山实验室出版，2019 年 11 月创刊，为双月刊，聚焦海洋与水生生命科学及其技术，2025 年期刊影响因子为 5.7。

Scope

• The journal is organised around five core areas, namely basic biology, fisheries science and technology, marine drugs and bioproducts, food science and biotechnology, and ecology and environmental biology.期刊围绕五个核心方向组织稿件，即基础生物学、渔业科学与技术、海洋药物与生物制品、食品科学与生物技术、生态与环境生物学。
• Basic biology spans aquatic biodiversity, biochemistry, cell biology, computational biology, development, evolution, genetics and epigenetics, immunology, microbiology, omics and bioinformatics, phycology, physiology, reproductive biology and zoology.基础生物学涵盖水生生物多样性、生物化学、细胞生物学、计算生物学、发育、进化、遗传与表观遗传、免疫学、微生物学、组学与生物信息学、藻类学、生理学、生殖生物学与动物学。
• Fisheries work includes ecosystem modelling, stock enhancement, fish physiology, reproduction and breeding, feeding and aquafeed development, immunology and disease control, and stock assessment for sustainability.渔业方向包括生态系统建模、资源增殖、鱼类生理、繁殖与育种、摄食与饲料开发、免疫与病害控制，以及面向可持续性的资源评估。
• Marine drugs and bioproducts cover the discovery, structure elucidation, chemical synthesis, biosynthesis, structure-activity relationships and pharmacology of bioactive compounds from marine natural materials.海洋药物与生物制品方向覆盖海洋天然产物中活性化合物的发现、结构解析、化学合成、生物合成、构效关系与药理学。
• Food science and biotechnology addresses seafood nutrition, processing and storage, safety control and testing, food microbiology, functional foods, marine enzyme engineering and biomaterials.食品科学与生物技术涉及海产品营养、加工与贮藏、安全控制与检测、食品微生物学、功能食品、海洋酶工程与生物材料。
• Ecology and environmental biology includes biological oceanography, aquatic and terrestrial ecology, restoration ecology and technology, ecotoxicology, ecological security, and environmental biology and health.生态与环境生物学包括生物海洋学、水生与陆生生态学、恢复生态学与技术、生态毒理学、生态安全，以及环境生物学与健康。
• Work is expected to be multidisciplinary and is especially, though not exclusively, concerned with marine organisms and marine habitats.刊物要求研究具备多学科交叉性，尤其但不限于以海洋生物与海洋生境为对象。

History

• The journal was launched by Ocean University of China together with the Pilot National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology in Qingdao, and its first issue appeared on 30 November 2019.期刊由中国海洋大学与位于青岛的海洋科学与技术试点国家实验室联合创办，创刊号于 2019 年 11 月 30 日出版。
• That opening issue carried eleven papers, one editorial, eight reviews and two research articles, and a second issue of ten papers followed, establishing a review-heavy profile from the outset.创刊号刊载 11 篇文章，包括 1 篇社论、8 篇综述与 2 篇研究论文，随后第二期刊出 10 篇，自始即形成以综述为主的特色。
• All content has been free to read on the publisher platform since launch, with open choice fees underwritten by Ocean University of China and the Laoshan Laboratory.自创刊起全部内容均可在出版平台上免费阅读，开放获取费用由中国海洋大学与崂山实验室承担。
• Springer Nature confirmed inclusion in the Science Citation Index Expanded in December 2021, with the entire back archive indexed, and the first Journal Impact Factor followed in June 2022.（Springer Nature）于 2021 年 12 月确认本刊被科学引文索引扩展版收录，创刊以来的全部文章一并回溯索引，首个期刊影响因子于 2022 年 6 月发布。
• By its second year the title had published three volumes and nine issues containing 98 papers, and it entered the eighth volume in 2026.至第二年，本刊已出版 3 卷 9 期共 98 篇论文，2026 年进入第 8 卷。
• The 2025 Journal Impact Factor is 5.7, against 5.3 in 2024 and 5.0 in 2022, and the title ranks 4th of 124 in marine and freshwater biology.2025 年期刊影响因子为 5.7，2024 年为 5.3，2022 年为 5.0，在海洋与淡水生物学类 124 种期刊中位列第 4。

Editors

• Weibo Song, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a protozoologist at Ocean University of China, is editor-in-chief.主编为（Weibo Song），中国科学院院士、中国海洋大学原生动物学家。
• Xiao-Hua Zhang of Ocean University of China, who works on microbiological oceanography, serves as executive deputy editor.常务副主编为（Xiao-Hua Zhang），任职于中国海洋大学，研究方向为海洋微生物学。
• A group of section editors, most of them at Ocean University of China, handles algae genetics, aquatic animal nutrition, marine food biotechnology, fish oceanography, shellfish breeding, marine biomaterials, developmental biology and marine natural products.若干分领域编辑负责藻类遗传、水生动物营养、海洋食品生物技术、鱼类海洋学、贝类育种、海洋生物材料、发育生物学与海洋天然产物，多数任职于中国海洋大学。
• The board is drawn from fifteen countries and regions, with about sixty per cent of members based outside China.编委会成员来自 15 个国家和地区，其中约六成常驻中国以外。
